Fast bake bread recipes
Fast bake settings on a bread machine offer a quick and easy way to produce a loaf.
Note that the quality of the loaf is often not as good as the standard settings on a bread maker.
The most important thing to get right with fast bake baking is the amount of yeast.
You need a little more yeast than normal to provide the right amount of rising in a shortened time.
We offer the following recipe which we use to bake a really good fast bake loaf.
Ingredients:
475g of strong white flour
1 1/4 tsp of dried yeast
1 1/2 tsp of caster sugar
1 tsp of table salt
320ml of luke warm water
First thing to do is measure out 320ml of luke warm water.
Add the sugar and yeast to this and stir.
Cover with a wet napkin.
Measure out the flour.
If you have a good supermarket keep an eye out for 00 flour, it's Italian and produces an amazing bread.
Place the flour and salt into the bread maker and pour in the mixture of yeast, sugar and water.
Press the fast bake go button and wait patiently while that familiar smell of freshly baked bread fills the room.
